Our path
At the start, there were only three of us. And each of us was connected with cars in his own way. Together we realized that a modern car needs a cool exhaust sound.
The Thunder God’s name emphasizes what we expected from our product: the power of nature in powerful exhaust sounds. We realize the sounds of real engines, and recreate the authentic sound of supercars.
To go beyond the standard exhaust system tuning, the first live sound recordings of real engines were made. We experimented.
The main task is to provide control of the device from a smartphone, as well as update it and download new sounds. It was new and bold. The market has never offered anything like this before.
Experimenting, we selected the optimal parameters of the device: sound, volume and shape.
A complex technological mechanism was developed in a simple design, at the junction of a modern gadget and accessory.
The first prototype was agreed upon. Initially the speaker consisted of two symmetrical parts. The first contract was signed for the production of 100 parts for the future speaker.
We implemented device control from the phone and made it possible to update the program. Due to the versatility of the device, it can be easily installed on any modern car.
The sound design department and the electronics development department appear in the THOR team. Each department has its own issues. Sound design records and processes live sound from powerful engines.
"It wasn't easy," recalls Technical director Evgeny Talachev, "for example, when recording a Porsche Cayenne Magnum, an accident occurred. But we didn't despair and by the first of April we released "the sound of a broken motor" based on this record.".
We are actively developing our own motherboard. The first version on an analog amplifier - in a single copy - was successful. The next version didn't have Bluetooth yet.
Our product is a universal device, it is designed not only for personal cars: we installed it on ZOOM-Karting. THOR's developments are also used on commercial, urban gasoline and electric vehicles.
A new direction has emerged – sound warning systems for vehicles with low noise levels: electric cars, electric scooters, mopeds, motorcycles (AVAS - Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System). Our mission in this project is acoustic ecology and safety in the cities of the future.
A special, ultra-hardy and powerful branded speaker has been developed.
The company opened its own full-cycle production. Products at each stage are controlled only by our specialists. More than 20 different sounds were realized: authentic (the sound of gasoline engines) and synthetic.
At the beginning, the THOR team consisted of only three enthusiasts, but now there are more than fifty of us.
THOR EV is a new product that has been developed for many years, it is an electronic exhaust system for electric vehicles. We have developed a special line of synthetic sounds and released a new version of the mobile application.
New module released. This is a high-tech product with a new design: it has a powerful processor, and the body is made of modern heat-dissipating plastic.
THOR cooperates with more than eighteen countries. We are represented in the UK, France, Spain, Australia, Singapore, Belgium, Romania, Denmark, Italy, etc.
We have over 570 partners in 35 countries such as Top Gear, BSR, BR Performance, ShifTech, Han Revolution, Dynatek, Edotec.
And we are not going to stop there!
We began work on the ECHO high‑frequency speaker for the THOR electronic exhaust system.
We conducted tests and listening sessions, refining the integration of the component into the system.
Electronic exhaust
Together with Erik Davidych, we made a film about electronic exhaust systems, discussing how we manufacture THOR and our advantages.
We recorded the sound of the legendary golden BMW X5M to add it to our sound library.
The THOR team, together with Gercollector, recorded the sounds of four iconic cars at an airfield in Germany.
The THOR product was presented at the SEMA show in Las Vegas by our key partner Top Gear.
The electronic exhaust system sparked interest among the professional community and exhibition visitors.
THOR was heard at one of the most significant platforms in the automotive industry.
Official launch of the in‑house developed ECHO high‑frequency speaker.
All THOR kits were upgraded with the new component. ECHO handles the upper frequency range: bright pops, volume boost at high RPMs, and a more accurate reproduction of sporty exhaust character.
The system has become more powerful and realistic.
We released a major app update.
Stability has been improved, and compliance with Google and Apple requirements has been ensured.
Tools for monitoring uncertified products have been added.
This update has become an important foundation for further system development.
The THOR brand was once again presented at the SEMA show in Las Vegas by partner Top Gear.
All organizational processes and participation were fully handled by the partner.
We started refining the housing of the new STORM speaker.
We began testing for durability, strength, and operational stability.
At the same time, acoustic listening sessions and sound tuning were underway.
We focused on developing our presence in China. We launched local infrastructure, intensified negotiations, and began large shipments to existing partners.
Official release of the updated STORM speaker and presentation of the updated flagship — THUNDER 2.0.
STORM became the foundation for new system configurations.
Now each speaker in the system handles its own frequency range:
STORM provides the main sound volume,
THUNDER 2.0 enhances depth and power,
ECHO handles the upper range and pops.
The system became more flexible and allows for different configuration levels — from basic to premium.
We participated in one of the world’s largest automotive exhibitions.
We gained many international contacts and started cooperation negotiations.
We signed the first agreements with companies we met at the Shanghai exhibition.
